Customs: change to french regulations on toys

EFFECTIVE JULY 5, 2022, ALLERGENIC FRAGRANCE SUBSTANCES TO BE BANNED IN TOYS

 

Following the French government order dated January 7, 2022, relating to toy safety, new obligations and prohibitions covering imported toys will enter force on July 5, 2022.

 

Prohibited:

  • the following allergenic fragrance substances in toy manufacture: Atranol/Chloroatranol/Methyl Carbonate Heptine

Mandatory:

  • Specific labeling for toys containing allergenic fragrance substances

 

WARNING: these substances must be listed on an attached label, on the packaging, or on an information sheet accompanying the toy.
