A Voluntary Commitment to Sustainability

DIMOTRANS Group has voluntarily joined the UN Global Compact, a global corporate sustainability initiative. This commitment signifies the company’s dedication to aligning its operations with ten universally accepted principles related to human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption. As part of this commitment, DIMOTRANS Group will annually submit a Communication on Progress (COP) report detailing its advancements in each of the Global Compact’s four focus areas.

Ten Principles for a Sustainable Future

The UN Global Compact is not a standard or certification; it’s a framework of ten universal principles. By signing the Compact, DIMOTRANS Group has aligned itself with a global network of businesses committed to creating a more sustainable and equitable world. The company is now part of a broader movement working towards the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Concrete Actions and Initiatives

To fulfill its commitment, DIMOTRANS Group has initiated several projects, including:

  • Implementing an anti-corruption platform with whistleblower protection
  • Aiming for zero workplace accidents
  • Developing a corporate ethics charter
  • Conducting environmental impact assessments and pollution prevention measures

Integrating Sustainability into Corporate Culture

DIMOTRANS Group’s core values—respect, commitment, responsibility, and solidarity—have been integral to the company’s success for over 40 years. The UN Global Compact aligns perfectly with these values, reinforcing the company’s dedication to sustainable business practices.

Laurent Parat, CEO of DIMOTRANS Group, stated, “Joining the UN Global Compact was a natural step for our company. By adhering to the Ten Principles, we are reaffirming our commitment to creating a more sustainable society. This is a significant milestone in our journey.”

Céline Chatelain, Director of CSR and QHSE at DIMOTRANS Group, added, “These ten principles are deeply embedded in our corporate culture. Through our CSR, QHSE, HR, and ethics policies, we are committed to implementing and upholding these principles in all our operations. This will contribute to achieving the broader Sustainable Development Goals on a national and global level.”

*The Global Compact is a United Nations initiative launched in 2000 by then Secretary-General Kofi Annan. This UN program, also known as the Global Compact, aims to engage businesses worldwide in adopting socially responsible practices by committing to integrate and promote Ten Principles derived from the fundamental texts of the United Nations.
