Sixteen months after the acquisition of QUALITAIR&SEA by DIMOTRANS Group, the overseas and customs activities of DIMOTRANS Overseas and QUALITAIR&SEA will be combined from 1 January 2023.

This operation is part of DIMOTRANS Group’s global development strategy, which is strengthening its position in France by grouping each of its four business lines within specialised subsidiaries.

The new overseas unit thus created under the name QUALITAIR&SEA and headed by Eric Hennet, will become the new entity that will manage the DIMOTRANS Group’s air freight forwarding, maritime and customs activities in France.

This merger also marks the birth of a new major player in freight forwarding in France. It confirms the ambition expressed in 2021 by Salvatore ALAIMO, President of DIMOTRANS Group, to reach a significant critical size in this segment.

With 12 agencies located in the main port and airport areas in France, and more than 450 employees, the QUALITAIR&SEA subsidiary of DIMOTRANS Group now combines the strength and resources of a structured group, the agility and flexibility of a medium-sized company and the customer proximity of committed employees.

This new structure will also be able to draw on the three other business lines, namely international road, national parcel delivery and contract logistics, and the expertise of the DIMOTRANS Group. This will enable it to offer its customers a complete range of services, covering all supply chain needs.

Its international network is also strengthened by the complementary network of agents of both companies and the Asian subsidiaries of DIMOTRANS Group.

DIMOTRANS Group in a few figures:

  • Consolidated turnover 2021 : 744 M€
  • Number of employees : 2400
  • Turnover 2021 Overseas business in France : 240 M€
  • More than 50 branches in France including 12 overseas branches
